On Thursday, June 6, 13 members of V.C.C.A. (6 Vettes & 1 Harley) headed out to Rogers in Maitland to visit his “Super Market for Corvettes”. Contrary to popular belief This is the “happiest place on Earth” NOT Disney! We were all like kids in a candy store.
On hand for our viewing pleasure were 44 Corvettes and one Plymouth Prowler (??). We were there to once again place our Charter Plaque on Rogers wall. Roger is a long time sponsor of our Club and has a dedicated spot for the plaque.
I’m not real sure but there may be a deal or two in the works. I won’t mention any names but it looked like three (3) wives may have eyes set on some of Rogers inventory. Good luck ladies.
After window shopping, drooling and wishful thinking it was time to continue our trek A.K.A. food. Down the road about a mile or so was Millers Ale House. We were greeted by their friendly staff and enjoyed a hearty meal. Really good meat loaf.
Only one concern was whether or not Buzz got rained on during the return trip. I talked to him this morning and it didn’t rain until he got home and opened his garage door. By the way, the reason for the Harley instead of his C6 was a bad latch switch on his driver side door. He will be back on 4 wheels real soon.
