So, yesterday, September 21st, the V.C.C.A. took part in the DeLand High School Homecoming Parade. Yes, we do like to show off our Vettes. So it was only expected that we take part in this cruise-in the following day.
And it was a HOT one! However there was a full outside bar and a food truck with some pretty good stuff. My brat was very good and I heard people talking up the “Black-n-Blue” beef sandwich.
Of the 30-35 cars present 14 of them were members Corvettes. I guess you could say we had 15 because Dave Quinn drove his way cool Pontiac instead of his C3 coupe. Even with all the entries we had, we garnered only one award. This is a fun show so they had fun awards and Steve Baer’s C7 won the plaque for “Most likely to Win a High Speed Chase”. Of course we know that Steve would NEVER drive his Vette that fast. Or would he? I’ll have to ask him about that.
This show gave us another opportunity for us to…
Keep the Vettes Rollin’
