Rainy Social Meeting

I guess the weather wasn’t our best friend at our Social Meeting on Friday night. Only 24 of the 32 people showed up. I did receive a couple of calls from those who could not make it, so it wasn’t only the weather.
Those of us who did endure the rain had a pretty good meal at Tomoka Brewing Company in Port Orange. Our night started with a short tour through the micro-brewery on-site. The tour was hosted by Brew Master/Owner Peter. Turned out it was very interesting and informative.
Having bee there a few times, I opted out of my usual burger (which are very good) and my wife and I split a pizza which was, as expected, very good.
As unusual as it may seem, nobody had car trouble tonight. It was about 30 minutes from our meeting spot and the drive was uneventful except for the turn off from !-4 caused by rain, construction and me not seeing the exit in time. Other than that it was another nice night out with good people and good food.  After dinner a few members journeyed all the way across the street to Ritter’s, a frozen Custard Stand . My dessert of choice was “Monkey-in-the-Middle”, more or less a banana split in a (large) cup. Very good to say the least.

Stay tuned right here for more exploits of the Volusia County Corvette Association as we continue to be one of the most active (if not THE most active) Clubs in Central Florida.
