Later that same day, December 15th the V.C.C.A. held its annual Christmas Party. This year it was held at the Son’s and daughters of Italy hall in Deltona. Many thanks to member John Malfettone for arraigning this for us. The venue was perfect Unfortunately we has a half dozen members out with a variety of ailments but the remaining 30 or so had a great time.
Food was in abundance; ham, turkey, baked mashed potatoes, vegie trays and a large assortment of deserts. There were several dishes I had not tried before, including one I couldn’t pronounce, that were quite tasty. The fully stocked bar kept everyone who wanted to enjoy an adult beverage very happy.
The gift exchange was quite entertaining also with special attention being placed on a certain metal Corvette sign I had a chance to get it back because my wife had last pick of gifts. She got some really cool (???) long, thick stockings but she decided to keep them for her granddaughter in North Dakota. I hope Jessica’s feet stay warm. All kidding aside it was a great time with some really great people. We had our four newest members who just signed up for the Club last Tuesday. We enjoyed their company and hope they enjoyed ours.
