What a wonderful trip we took on the 13th & 14th of this first month of the year to Punta Gorda, Fl. Those that were able to join us had a fun filled wonderful time walking through two great museums and enjoying tasty food along the way. This is the new outlook of things to come in spite of covid. We will not be intimidated and we will not stop driving our Corvettes safely.

We wanted to check out the Muscle Car City Museum (http://musclecarcity.net/) because it is closing soon and most artifacts and vehicles will be sold at auction by Mecum (http://musclecarcity.net/event/rick-treworgys-muscle-car-city-mecum-auctions-jan-22-23-2021/). Wouldn’t we just love to get our hands on some of them?? We would absolutely be in seventh heaven, without a doubt.

The next stop was to the Military Heritage Museum (https://freedomisntfree.org/). It was fabulous going back from Revolutionary times to WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam to Desert Storm and beyond. However, the icing on the cake is the Virtual System on the third floor and that is the fun place to be. These systems range from ocular to flying to shooting. There were “Hold my beer and watch this” moments like jumping from a plane, rappelling from a chopper, accompanying a soldiers on a house to house search, flew a Bi-plane, marksmanship training and flying drones. A second trip is definitely warranted.

Follow along our antics and rides because there’s more to come. Thanks Mike for leading the drive-out and Dave for the wonderful pictures.
