28 V.C.C.A. Members cast off on another beautiful day in Central Florida for a two hour tour. However, none of them took as many clothes as those aboard the S.S. Minnow. Our cruise ship was the Lady Dolphin of Daytona.
The seven Corvettes (mostly red) started off at Lowe’s in DeLand for a 40 minute drive to the pier in Daytona. Once signed up and our menus selected, we sat around on some cushy couches until boarding time. Seating was pretty smooth an most of us sat on one side of the boat with only a few opted for the upper deck Lesley said it was nice but she wasn’t too excited about the extra height.
Food service was quick and easy and the food (mine anyhow) was pretty good. I didn’t hear any complaints from anyone.
The cruise itself took us South of Daytona, somewhere near Port Orange I think. Then we returned North and cruised North to Holly Hill & Port Orange. Several sights were pointed out along the way, including a spot for a future drive out/Social event (more on that later).
The food was good, weather was good and the camaraderie was nice as usual. As always we are now looking forward to our next adventure.
