Tucked away in the corner of a “hard to spot from the street” strip mall in Lake Mary, Florida sits a restaurant which is anything but average or run-of-the-mill.

Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant was mentioned by one of our members as a place to hold our January Social Meeting. Almost nobody else knew of it so I put it on our calendar and we had 34 members on hand which is the most for any event in the last nine years. Fast service, no mistakes in orders (to my knowledge) and the food was definitely very good. As we were leaving three people asked we when are we coming back here. I think it will be soon.

At almost every event we have or go somewhere to eat, somebody shows up in something other than a Corvette (drives me nuts!). Maybe a pick-up or a Kia (???) instead of a Vette. This time there were two…Chris and Penny have a bad headlight problem and myself, due to injury, had to drive our Cadillac. Some members met us at the destination and some left from our usual starting spot. Funny thing is that all 10 vehicles, including the Caddy, pulling out of the parking lot were RED!!  I thought that a little strange but a very cool sight and I wish I had it on video.

Once again we enjoyed our time together and will be off to somewhere next month for another Social Meeting
