Another Beautiful Day in Central Florida!

Yup, another beautiful day in central Florida, I never get tired of saying that. A record turnout for an event was reached today for our lunch at Eaton’s Beach in Weirsdale. Fourteen (14) Corvettes plus Tom Chess’ gorgeous red SSR (his Vette had trans problems this morning) and twenty-nine (29)members and guests. Traffic was on our side almost all the way, until my GPS decided we should miss a turn and take us down some dirt/gravel road that looked more like someone’s driveway. My GPS did call and she apologized.

In a bazar twist of fate, Jim Moss, who has become accustomed to being served last, was the first to be served today. Everyone’s food was good, my hot pastrami dinner was very good except nobody needs that much broccoli. Lesley & Nancy ordered pecan pie, Lesley gave me a taste of hers, it was really good. Our waitress, Sandy, did a very good job at our table. She confided in me that, yes, she likes to think the beach was named after her. Get it…Sandy beach. (humor).

After lunch Tom took the lead and escorted us on a scenic cruise back to civilization as we know it. Traffic seemed to be in our favor once again and members peeled off as we neared their destinations. It felt real good to be part of a great event and we will surely have more of the same in the near future so we can all…

Keep the Vettes Rollin’
