Happy Monday indeed!

The V.C.C.A. had a relationship with New Smyrna Beach Chevrolet that somehow went away. As Activities Director I decided to re-kindle that connection.
After a couple of visits with management they asked if we would help with the “unveiling” of sorts of the C8 Corvette. on Nov.8. She said “how many can you bring? I said 30! She said she was limited to 3, I asked if she could do 5 and she said yes. This was a limited V.I.P. event and by invitation only.
So myself, Buzz Gunn, Larry Shepherd, Steve Baer and Larry Skinner met for a short drive down S.R. 44 at about 10 a.m.
Upon arriving I noticed only our club was present. I did see one or two T-shirts from other Corvette Clubs but no cars. Our allotted time was 11: a.m.-3″00 p.m. The open to the public after that.
Divided into groups, we were allowed 15 minutes in an area with the Sebring Orange Coupe. It was very well appointed and listed at $84,000.+. But alas…NO convertible in time for this event, mostly due to the strike which pushed everything 3 months farther away.
The management was very accommodating and all questions were answered. They had cold water and snacks for all. It was a really nice event and the V.C.C.A. is now looking forward to a more active involvement with New Smyrna Beach Chevrolet. I would like to thank them again for inviting us,
