Toys for Tots has been an annual event for the V.C.C.A. for years but this year was a little different. We did our shopping trip using Club donations plus individual offerings totaling almost $400.00 which pretty much filled the trunk of our Cadillac. These toys were dropped off at O.B.’s Lounge/Restaurant in DeLand, who is a huge supporter of the V.C.C.A.
The second leg consisted of several Club members joining together with other Corvette owners at Ecklers Corvettes in Titusville, Fl. From there all Corvettes were lined up by generation starting with C1 followed by C2, C3, C4 etc. An estimated 200-250 filed out of the parking lot escorted by a large contingent of Brevard County Motorcycle Police and continued down U.S.1 to Cape Canaveral.
This event seems bigger and better each year and the V.C.C.A. plans on going forward with this as a yearly tradition.
