On Monday, October28th, the V.C.C.A. was invited to a Trunk-or-Treat put on by the St. Johns Marina and Resort in DeLand. It was a short, free show mainly for the children in the area. We had over 12 Corvettes present along with Tom Chess’ Gorgeous Buick Riviera.
Rain was in the forecast but never showed up but the kids in costume sure did. There were al sizes and shapes and various degrees of scariness and all ages for sure.
At every event we hold a 50/50 drawing, this events winner was Tina (don’t shoot me if I’m wrong). She is a waitress at the Marina and the only person to buy a vehicle length for $20.00. Her share was $69.00 with the other $69.00 going to our Charities Fund. NONE of these funds are spent on the Club, we do not benefit from any event, we only show off our Vettes and that’s enough for us.
